• Gained several years experience in the NHS, before commencing Freelance Contract Work in 1987 to gain the experience and expertise necessary for Private Practice.

• Started Private Practice in Glossop in 1994, working from home initially, then transferring the Practice to Manor House surgery in 1999.

• Started the second Practice in Wilmslow in 1998.

First Appointment - You will be fully assessed by a Chartered Physiotherapist and your condition will be discussed with you, including treatment options and the estimated number of appointments which may be needed. You will also receive a full treatment. Each appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Treatments may include;

• Mobilisation/manipulation - Gentle loosening of the body parts involved

• Electrotherapy - including;

• Exercise - Strengthening and mobilising body tissues

• Massage - Movement of the body tissues with the hand

After any type of injury Physiotherapy will help to reduce inflammation and pain in the affected area and will help the body to heal more quickly, getting you back to your work or sporting activities sooner. Physiotherapy also includes teaching you how to prevent the injuries from happening again.
